What is a stomp grate? The stomp grate is a relatively new advancement to the inboard jet motor. Ketchum Manufacturing first began installing this item on local manufacturer's boats, but it can now be found worldwide. It has quickly become a popular, convenient, and, at times, necessary item. The stomp grate allows you to free your intake of debris while on the water without having to go for a swim. It can come in handy when running the shallowest of rivers, as rocks inevitably find themselves lodged in the pick-up. Stomp grates can be purchased directly from Ketchum Manufacturing. They are available for a variety of boat models and engine types including the hard to find older models. Who do we sell to? We sell stomp grates to both commercial business and individual boat owners. Each purchased stomp grate comes in a kit (see photo below) which includes a pedal, push rod, return spring, guide bar, and installation bolts.

What models do we manufacture? We can custom design a stomp grate for practically any kind of boat out there, and currently have over 25 different models available.
